Delete your account
You can permanently delete your Instant Status account and the data associated with it at any time.
Delete from inside the app
- Open Instant Status and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm. Your account is removed immediately and you will be signed out.
Don't have the app installed?
If you can no longer access the app, email us from the address registered with your account and we will process the deletion for you.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, the following are removed immediately and permanently:
Profile
- Your name and email address
- Your Firebase authentication record
- Your profile preferences and settings
Activity
- Your current and historical statuses, including custom notes
- Custom status options you created
- Friend connections (you are removed from your friends' lists)
- Invite codes you created
Devices
- All push-notification tokens registered to your account
What is retained
A small amount of data is retained for legal, security, or operational reasons:
Anonymized payment records
- Subscription transaction records (without personal identifiers) — retained up to 7 years to meet tax and accounting obligations.
Backups
- Encrypted database backups may contain your data for up to 30 days, after which they are permanently overwritten.
Webhook event logs
- Internal event identifiers used to prevent duplicate processing — retained up to 90 days. These contain no personal information.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. To stop billing, cancel your subscription through Google Play (Profile > Manage Subscription) before deleting your account.
